Allows the warrior use any melee periodic weapon-based skills they have with any melee weapon they know how to use, regardless of what hand is wielding the weapon. The ability conferred by this skill allows the use of weapons that are normally prohibited for specific tag skills (for example, a character with Master Proficiency III can use the Waylay skill with a Two Handed Edged weapon, contrary to the description of the Waylay skill). This skill does not allow the warrior to use tagged combat skills with ranged weapons. Note: This skill does NOT allow you to transfer Weapon Profs (a Continuous Skill) between weapons or hands, only periodic skills.

This skill will allow a warrior to redirect and harmlessly ground a spell, ballad, prayer, or druid spell with his weapon or shield, thus ignoring it. However the energy of the spell will knock the warrior’s sword or shield out of his hands. The warrior may not pick up the dropped item until 5 seconds have passed. You must have a weapon or shield in your hand for this skill to work. Any effect used that prevents the warrior from dropping their weapon (Alchemy, Disarm/Retain, etc.) will prevent this skill from working – the weapon must be let go of to safely ground the energy. This skill only works against an effect that targets them directly, and not a radius effect.

This skill is the second most powerful weapon attack in the game. A character that is hit by this skill drops to the beginning of the critical stage of their death count. This skill does a maximum of four hundred points of damage. A Slay cannot be countered with the skill Parry. This skill is hand specific.
