Divine ceremonies are gifts granted from a higher power, as thus an altar must be present at the time of casting unless noted otherwise in the ceremony description. The minimum ranking of the altar is 1 but may be higher as per the requirements for the ceremony. Unlike gods, mortals are given to make errors, so a percentile die roll is made to determine the effectiveness of a certain ceremony.
If at any point the priest casting the ceremony is disturbed or damaged, the raw divine power being harnessed is released in a cataclysmic explosion resulting in the level of ceremony times 20 in divine points of damage, in a 100 foot radius.
Divine ceremonies are complicated and difficult to master, so a ceremony book must be kept at all times during the casting of the ceremony. If a ceremony book is not present the ceremony fails.
To determine the base percentage chance of success, take the highest rank ceremony the caster knows, and subtract the attempted ritual’s level:
(Highest Rank) – (Current Rank) gives Base Percentage of Success:
0: 60%
1: 70%
2: 80%
3: 90%
4: 100%
If a ceremony fails for any reason roll a percentile die and refer to this chart. All ceremonies fail unless marked with an *. These are the effects that take place:
01-05 *Ceremony takes double the amount of FP to cast. If it cannot be paid, ceremony fails.
06-10 Caster is dropped to 0 FP and 0 BP
11-15 Ceremony fails
16-20 Caster and assistants suffer memory loss (-2 build)
21-25 Caster is only affected by Divine attacks for remainder of period
26-30 *Ceremony works only during the day
31-35 Everyone in a 100 ft. radius takes 100 divine damage
36-40 *Ceremony is permanent
41-45 Altar drops in ranking by 1
46-50 Caster and assistants all gain clarity (+2 build)
51-55 Caster temporarily gains –5 to his Faith Points for the period.
56-60 Caster and all assistants are dropped to 0 FP and 0 BP
61-65 Caster loses 3 permanent FP
66-70 *Ceremony works only at night
71-75 Caster temporarily gains +5 to his Faith Points for the period.

The ceremony when performed will release any alien force that is currently controlling a person’s body. This ceremony calls forth the divine power of the god to compel the entity to leave the body. A circle must be drawn around the person being exorcised using blessed water. While within the area of the exorcism, the spirit will be tormented by the power of the faith of the caster. The possessing entity cannot disrupt the ceremony from within the circle. At the end of the ceremony, if successful will force the alien entity back to its own plane of existence.
If the ceremony fails it cannot be attempted for another 30 days.

The ceremony of glyphs requires the minimum area of the glyph be 3'x3' to work. The maximum can be 10’x10’. When this ceremony is cast, the caster can set whatever parameters they wish at the beginning of the ceremony for entry. If the individual who is attempting to enter the space covered by the glyphs does not meet the parameters, the spell effect will go off. (For example, A priest of Malyc casts the ceremony so that no one who follows a good god can enter the area. If someone attempts to enter, the marshal would check their card to make sure that they are not baptized to one of the four good gods.) The result of the spell is 30 points of divine damage being dealt to the target, as soon as the threshold is crossed. The caster can also set a password for entry and if the password is recited the glyph stands down.

This ceremony will consecrate a selected area. This area is marked out of game by garland or glow sticks. The initial ceremony will consecrate an area up to 20 feet by 20 feet. The priest may expend more energy to make this area larger double the faith points for double the maximum area. All consecrated ground has effects against undead. Any lesser or regular undead that enter it, take 30 divine damage per 5 seconds that they are within it. Any greater undead that enters, will find that any racial abilities from being undead that they have are cut-off. They will also feel great pain and will not want to remain in that place for any length of time. These powers will return once they leave the space created by the ceremony. If a caster attempts to create undead in this space, the attempt will be unsuccessful. The area under the Protection MUST have an area note cared explaining the effect, signed by the marshal that witnessed the ceremony.

The vestments grants the wearer the following: Continuous Soak of 1 Damage, Continuous protections from waylay, suffocation, sleep or any other spell or ability that causes the target to instantly fall unconscious (note: that this will not protect against pure damage skills or abilities like embrace with death or incapacitate), 40 extra Armor points that recycle with each period.

This ceremony will create a divine barrier that will embed itself into an area no larger than 20 feet by 20 feet. This sanctuary may be created on a building or an area outside. The sanctuary will block all physical blows, spells, prayers and alchemical effects. It will not block against gaze attacks or psionic attacks on any individuals within. The sanctuary may be raised and lowered at will by the caster as long as he or she is touching it. Once contact is broken the ward will automatically rise, unless for any reason there is an object across an entrance boundary. A “key word” may be assigned by the caster to allow any others to work the sanctuary. One must speak the key word to the sanctuary at least to the level of a whisper. The number of events this ceremony lasts for is dependant on how many permanent faith points are expended.
Note: One weakness of this ceremony is that it will not stop any priests that can cast this ceremony. The sanctuary must be represented either by garland, glow rope or red tape. Should a key word be assigned it must be marked on the marshal notes along with the faith point tags from the caster.

This ceremony allows the priest to take a small item and imbue it with their faith. The item will allow a follower of that religion to use the item and use the skill “wield faith”. Note that the religion must be written on the users character card for this to work, furthermore, it is not good enough to worship the same type of deity (i.e. good or evil), but rather it must be the specific deity. At the time of casting, the item can also have one prayer embedded within it for future use. The prayer replenishes periodically. The use of the skill wield faith is continuous. The item will revert back to its non ceremonial form if it is not made permanent by the end of the duration.

If these parameters are not met, the gargoyle grows from his small state into a living creature approximately 5-7 feet in height. This creature’s looks will be consistent with your deity - a priest of Gaia’s gargoyle might look like a Treant while a priest of Galamachis might look like the Grim Reaper. The Gargoyle will retain the ability to animate for three months, after which if not made permanent will turn into a normal stone statue.

The Ceremony of Malificarium is a rare rite that is designed to strip the faith from one's opponents. The victim must remain conscious for the ceremony to work on them (This is usually achieved by tying the victim down). This ceremony works similar to the skill malediction, the only difference is that it will last for the full weekend. This ceremony will snuff out all faith related abilities of the target. This includes Paladins and Dark Paladins, and other creatures that call on Faith-related abilities (Including Seraphim and Demons).
If the ceremony fails, the caster and all participants take the effect of the ceremony in addition to the effects of their roll on the table. This ceremony can only be made permanent with the aid of four or more ceremonial priests casting both the Malificarium and Permanency. In this case only one success role need be attempted for the entire process.
Time Requirement: 1 hour and 20 Minutes
Faith Points: 21 Points, plus 4 Divine Ceremony Points
Components: Rank 5 altar
Components Rare: 1 hair from a silver were-fox, 1 bone from an archbishop of your religion, +1
Duration: Permanent
When cast on one person, place or item that has one ceremony has cast upon it, this ceremony will make the duration permanent. This ceremony can only make ceremonies permanent that are cast on one thing at a time, for example it will work on a building that has a sanctuary but it will not work on the Holy weapon that is placed in the sanctuary. A single item may not have this ceremony cast upon it more than once. Any attempt to make permanent a second ceremony on the item, person or place will result with an unfavorable outcome.
There is one flaw with this ceremony one should be aware of: When cast on an item or a person the casting location of the ceremony should be kept secret. Should the item ever be brought back to that location, it may easily be destroyed. Should the recipient of this ceremony ever return to that location and be slain and resurrected all of their ceremonies will be dispelled. Any lesser substitution of any component or if one component is missing will cause the ceremony to automatically fail and no roll will be allowed.
Time required: 1 hour and 20 Minutes
Faith Points: 21 Points, plus four Divine Ceremony Points
Components: Rank 5 altar
Components Rare: A feather from the wing of a seraphim, A scale from the wings of a demon, 1 loyal and powerful follower of your religion, willing to give up their life
Duration: Instantaneous (The Avatar remains on the mortal coil for up to 1 event, or after it's task has been accomplished [Director's Discression] whichever is shorter)
This is the ultimate ceremony, calling upon your god to send you an avatar to guide your path. Your intentions must be true for calling upon the avatar, if they are not you risk angering a god and that can end in many bad results. A devote worshiper’s body must be willingly sacrificed so that the avatar can enter this world.
