Director: James C. Kimball
James Kimball, along with Robert Bean decided to start working on Knight Realms in the year 1995. After three years of hard work and preparation, Knight Realms ran its first event on April of 1998, and has been running strong ever since. James was born in February of 1977. James is much more focused on the Role-Playing aspect of Knight Realms and can be constantly seen acting as characters that enhance the atmosphere. His roles include the late Baron Klarington Everest, Baron Sebastian Everest, and Geoffrey the Pesant.
Director: Robert Bean
(Robert Bean is no longer with us, but we keep his profile here in its originality as a memorial to this great man.)
Robert, the purple loving game coordinator has been playing RPGs since he was 14 years old and LARPs for the past six years. He's a phlebotomist (professional vampire) at Somerset Medical Center, in Somerville NJ where he sticks people with needles and sucks their blood. A sometime student at Rutgers University, he attends when ever he has a few bucks in his pocket and a few hours in his schedule. Poppy Z. Brite, Anne Rice, Anne McCaferty, and C.S. Lewis are among his favorite authors and his favorite artists include Waterhouse, Dicksie, and Maxfield Parish. His favorite musical artists (mostly female vocalists) include Lorena McKennit, Sara McClaughlin, Kate Bush, and Happy Rhodes (real name). When not working or sleeping (1st favorite hobby), Robert enjoys lapidary as a hobby, (someone who facets gemstones), flying stunt and power kites (Hi Bertha!), making stained glass, table tope role-playing, mostly "Vampire, the Masquerade", and now being a truck driver for Knight Realms!

New Player Officer: (Currently Vacant)
Rules Enforcement Officer: Jonathon G.
Bio coming soon.
Atmosphere Officer: Marybeth E.
MaryBeth Elkins has been LARPing for quite some time. She has been an instrumental staff member of several New Jersey LARPs including, but not limited to the first LARP ever in NJ. One of which James C. Kimball actually played before he and Rob created Knight Realms. MaryBeth enjoys LARPing with the level of player that KR attracts. As a staff member, she works hard in an OOG capacity between events at things like conventions and props days along with other collaborating with staff members, creating costuming, banners and imagery that are often seen, but not always noticed. All her labors are to raise the level of atmosphere in the Knight Realms world and help players suspend disbelief for their time playing our game. As Atmosphere Officer, MaryBeth is responsible for encouraging all positive role playing and in-game appearances in Knight Realms. She enjoys participating in several facets of the KR organization, but most enjoys sharing the KR experience with her children, Jason, Alex and Tori.
Logistics Officer: Andy B.

Character Card Officer: Sam R.
Sam Roberts reached Earth on August 2nd, 1983, slamming into the Chukotka region of northeastern Siberia on the back of an asteroid. That the asteroid did not extinguish all life on the planet is a miracle only understood by a handful of Soviet scientists who were 'retired' shortly after the discovery of its secret. Sam spent the early years of his life writing guidance code for Soviet ICBMs, before finally entering elementary school at age four. Displaying an early aptitude for hunting moose and other wildlife with two swords and some serious attitude, Sam was a favorite of his classmates but the bane of the local petting zoo.
In 1998, exasperated Russian conservationists forced Sam to defect to the United States, despite the fact that the Cold War was already over. Arriving in New Jersey at the tender age of 15, Sam quickly discovered LARPing and decided that carving up fellow nerds was preferable to moose, since the fellow nerds tended not to run as fast or fight back as much. They did complain more, but Sam's Soviet-instilled sensibilities render him largely immune to complaining - a trait that eventually made him a natural choice to serve as a Rules Marshal and Character Card Officer for Knight Realms.
Today, Sam enjoys a life of peace and tranquility except when he's at work, or doing character cards, or driving on New Jersey roads, or...
Marketing Officer: Joe Bondi
Joe has been LARPing since 1990. He has been part of the player or staff base for several LARPs in the tri-state area. His dedication has kept him involved in all capacities from the creation of rule systems to the running of events. He has enjoyed his time in KR since joining as a player in its early days. Since then, he has become more active by running charity fundraisers and assisting staff with the many tasks they need to perform on a monthly basis. As Marketing Officer, Joe will strive to promote the game of Knight Realms and look after the brand of KR as it relates to the LARPing community.
Technical Officer: Geoffrey Schaller
Born in Philly in 1972, and raised there, Geoffrey got his first taste of gaming when a friend gave him a copy of D&D at 10. When he asked his dad to explain the rules to him, and said dad's eyes lit up at the idea of actually playing, his fate was sealed. Geoff has been an avid gamer of many genres since then - RPGs, Wargames, CCGs, LARPs, and even the occasional Computer Game. Geoff is currently employed for a small financial firm in Manhattan where he is a Jr. System Adminstrator (In other words, he's the Help Desk dude). His general liking of computers and his inability to let a system sit without tinkering with it led him to be the webmaster for Knight Realms shortly after he joined in 2001. He's also spent time as a Rules Author & Marshal, RP Marshal, and the Forums Administrator. When he's not at work or Knight Realms, Geoffrey is on the Senior Staff for Double Exposure, Inc. (the folks who run DEXCON & DREAMATION). Geoff's PCs at the game include Togashi Heiwa (now retired), Gideon Weaveforger, Carlos Magellan (the purple gypsy pirate), and Garrun the Jaxuarian. He can't make it to the events as early as he used to (due to the long commute from NY), but can always be reached by email (

Past Officers:
Matt White
Rumors swirled at the 2001 LARP entry draft about the wheeling and dealing taking place in the backrooms. Word among the press pool was that Knight Realms, holding the 8th pick overall, was looking to move up to the 3rd pick and select Elyse Rivera. At 2pm, Elyse's parents dropped a bombshell, announcing that she would not be entering the pro Larping world until she turned fifteen, at least. Yet there was no sign of panic at the KR table, as director James Kimball quickly switched gears and traded down to the 23rd pick overall, selecting the aged but sturdy Matt White, and acquiring the rights to Vin Diesel, should he ever quit acting. Matt quickly defied critics and proved his worth as a first-rounder, starting out with a little-known PC named Finn Dupre, a scholar, and then later creating Fogrom, and linking up with 2 friends - signed as free agents - and developing the Ardrum barbarian tribe. Famous for sitting out in the woods, continuously cooking and eating meals around their fire, the Ardrum soon became a curiosity, since generally new characters go to town and meet people, quite in contrast to the preferences of the Ardrum. Over time, they became more socialized, and while other demands outside the pro Larping circuit pulled Matt's friends away from KR, Matt hung in and continued to develop Fogrom as a kinder, gentler savage. Matt was named Chief Rules Officer in May, 2004, despite the fact that Matt knows fewer rules of the game than Conrad Santini's niece. Nevertheless, he seems to elicit general approval from the player-base, probably due to the fact that he is viewed as the least likely to inflict any real damage on the game. Today, Matt can be found portraying Fogrom, his lone PC, or the NPCs Lord Duncan Inverness and Cousin Yorgi. He is occasionally mistaken for Dr. Hix, but denies any actual connection to the character.
Matt V.
M. Volk has been floating around the gaming circuit for a full on decade, working on such projects as Deus Ex, WGP's Svaha and the ever elusive Frontier 7. In addition to that, he has been the GM for many tabletop campaigns, played literally across the east coast from Philadelphia, PA to Boston, MA. Focused on the logistics side of gaming, his expertise in the field of LARPing continues in his service to KR as Logistics manager.
Derrick Weeks
Derrick was born sexy, grew up sexy, lives sexy, and will die sexy. 'nuff said.
Derrick did not write this biography because he is a ninja, and ninjas are humble like that. Matt White had to write it for Derrick, because the truth just had to be told.
The coolest thing about Derrick is that while he is at most KR events, you seldom see him, because he is a ninja. You feel his presence, like the tingling in your feet and the hair raising on your neck before lightning strikes. Only it isn't lightning, it's Derrick. Don't even try running for cover; it's too late. Derrick had the jump on you four weeks ago, when he foresaw this moment would happen and you were busy cutting a banana to add to your Cheerios.
I could go on, but you get the point.
Brendan O.
Born in 1982 Brendan did get his introduction to Live Action Role-Playing until he found his way to a Knight Realms event in late 2001. He learned about the game through a high school friend who thought it might peak his interest. Brendan’s interest in fantasy literature, music and meeting new people found a union in the creation of his first and main character Birnum Pyre. Brendan also plays the characters Bromius Dreamchylde and Raguk. Having grown up in central New Jersey, he now lives in Eastern Central Pennsylvania where he works as an I.T. consultant.
