ACTING

Exercise your acting skills, either as one character all weekend long, or instead a wide range of characters! Also develop your real life social interaction skills and confidence!

EXERCISE

Chase or be chased by monsters! Search the enchanted woods or engage in epic war with monstrous hordes! Engage in active sport like activity and enjoy the beautiful outdoors! 

LARP

Live Action Role-Playing is theatrical improv where the audience and the performers are one in the same.  Larp is a more active version of tabletop role-playing. 

GAMING

Our game rules are designed to be both friendly to newer players and also solve the age old issue of level gap!  Use your skills every brief rest so that you feel useful in every scenario!

What is Knight Realms?

Knight Realms Explained

Knight Realms is a long-running campaign Live Action Roleplaying game based in a high fantasy world that mixes the use of magic with the mundane to create a unique setting.  Utilizing our 200 acre site to its fullest, the game is a fully immersive 24 hour experience that drops the player characters into its ever-evolving story and pits them against monsters who would seek their downfall.  With events every month, it is up to each player whether to be part of the story, or change the course of events!

The Knight Realms LARP rules allow for players to create the character they want to be.  The game’s rules allow for a player to purchase multiple classes over the course of their lifetime, and so a player has near limitless options for creating their own unique identity.

As a lightest touch boffer LARP, Knight Realms provides its players with fast-paced, action packed combat scenarios that intertwine the dynamics of player teamwork and other obstacles that will challenge the players and leave them with memorable tales to tell around the table over a drink!

ABOUT US

March 2024 Prologue

A young lord sits alone in a lavishly dressed carriage. Through the window, trees pass one by one,  as the occasional guard can be seen from the window either catching up to or falling behind the carriage. Both behind and in front of him turn noisy wooden wheels against the road,  and the clatter of their metal joineries clink as they roll along. The horses ahead of the cart before this one whine and stir in the night, a few men meet, papers are signed, dues are paid, and they begin to cross The Rift.

Thomas, the young lord, furrows their brow as they eye a piece of parchment. Not just paper but woven from the webs gathered in a long-forgotten tomb, collected by Priests so as to not displease the dead. Then loomed by a maiden who had not yet sipped water since the morning prior. 

In his hand rested a quill that would look simple at first, but another merchant held a record of it once being held by the great poet Lady Garr of the Shire. Its tip was forged from a provincial metal, with the shaft hand carved by her father out of birch wood. It sports two golden bands, both elegantly placed midway so as to separate the tool into three even pieces. Its finish is smooth but is knotted in areas as you would expect a pocket knife to leave. 

The ink he had been saving for this. There is a merchant in Coasthaven that makes special inks from the ash of sunken ships, as a way of remembering the stories of those lost sailors. Though he had not bothered to remember the story that was sold along with it. 

 

As tip met paper he began to write….

 

A row of carts and many men,

Cross the rift at pace again, 

The Incumbent brings the finer things,

Should these people know of rings? 

Wonder what such’a jaunt will bring?

A fount of roses, children sing?

Or relics worth the coin to bring?

Home with me again.

 

As Thomas finishes writing his poem, the once studious expression on his face sours. He grabs the paper mashing it into a small ball, the ink still wet. Then tosses it out the window. 

 

“I should figure out what I am going to say. I’m not feeling inspired anyway.” He says to himself. Grabs another silken page and begins to write again….

 

Dear Count Sebastion Everest his Excellency,

 

I am more a man of things than I am of words, but I write to you now to apologize. It would appear a number of bounties I had commissioned have inspired violence against your people. Our people. I must say this was not the intention, but I do take responsibility for what unfortunately occurred.

Now there is space between you and me, so I say this with the utmost uncertainty. My understanding is, that only these adventurers turned heathens were harmed in any meaningful way. 

To mitigate this uncertainty, and give a proper apology, I will be making my way to you post haste. I have never ventured over the Rift in my extensive travels but I am bewildered at the stories I hear of you and your great militia of heroes. It is my hope our meeting goes well and you can see I am true in my regrets of these unfortunate happenings. Maybe even in you, I may find a mentor, someone to look up to. Not to suggest I don’t already. 

As I write this letter to you I cross this great divide for the first time. My caravan is rather slow as I am bringing my wares. I should be with you in a day or so.
