I am going to preface everything written here is not an order of any kind. This is a personal request from myself, Ilana Darkwood, and Talaniel Starling
This is information we are providing from everyone's gathered research on relations with Coast Haven and the individuals involved.
----
There appears to be a meeting, a Parley, arranged at 1pm at the behest of Captain Alverez between the Inn and the Bank.
The presentation of this meeting will reflect on us as a barony and as a Kingdom when we continue negotiations with Queen Luiza de la Borrasca of Coast Haven.
We are currently stuck with a go between, Duke Massimo Alighieri, who is not our friend and is waiting for any opportunity to reflect us in a bad light and urge aggression against the Kingdom in its weakened state.
As this is a Parley, the Captain has provided these rules (you also can see this in the notes Maria provided) :
Anyone sitting at the table is safe from any hostilities on either side.
Anyone not at the table is not protected and may be attacked or slain by either side without breaking the trust of those at the table
I will accept no monsters at my table
You may bring any teas or food you wish, and I shall bring mine.
To define ‘monster’ in the way Captain Alverez uses it as far as I can tell. There are probably more but use this as a very rough guideline:
Anyone bound to a ‘higher power’ that is not divine in nature. The easiest examples include:
Dragoons
Most Empyreans
Exemplars/Soul Binders
Creatures not native to the material plane or descendant of them. A few examples include:
Planar Faeries (I do not know if he feels the same about faekin and Faerhyen however)
Zakol
We have sent a request for amendments and if the request is entertained, I will update this missive.
This is a chance to acquire information that research cannot provide and insight on his mannerisms from the various influences of the blade, the dragon spirits, and anything else that may be bound to the Captain.
Please, follow the rules and do not attack him while he is sitting at the table.
Either way, he SHOULD NOT BE KILLED. The spirits currently bound to him are in a fragile state and this will cause them injury without preparation.
Do not have me defend this man, because I will.
We are trying to avoid utilizing Duke Massimo Alighieri as a means to speak with Queen Luiza as best we can. This means we need to try and be better than him and the Captain for a little while.
Focus your ire on the constructs for now.
Not all the crew members of Captain Alverez are willing participants to this campaign. We want you to consider capturing these individuals and minimizing unnecessary death. Sailors captured and sent back to Coast Haven may know things that Alverez or Duke Massimo do not wish us to know, or may carry better stories of us to the higher echelons of Coast Haven.
We will make efforts to keep them alive.
The more Travance can persuade the Queen to like the town, and not like the Duke, the closer we are to defeating him
Coast Haven’s past with us is rocky at best and I do not believe that it was at fault of the Queen. We have a chance to reforge something new, a true alliance, and help both kingdoms flourish in a way they have not in years.
Thank you all for your time.

*Not Caelvan* Normally, I am all for diplomacy, regardless which side suggests it. It often can win you an ally or at least stop the fighting and save lives. A worthwhile pursuit. However, this man is planning on killing my family, both my clan back in the highlands if he were to succeed here, and the dragoons that I have met and have considered me a member of their family here.
Diplomacy be damned in this case, I am not a worthwhile fighter like many who have posted here, and will not be present. But I request you throw a few punches at him on my behalf.
Thank you,

Ahem... To be fair Jerico it is not notably Genocide. How often vengeful men use words they understand little of. Hold your ground, and give the bastard a proper defamation. He is attempting to commit Democide, namely because he is pushing his strung up beliefs along with this romp of his, it includes Genocide. Very good. A 1000 gold bounty on Illana if she clearly commits treason, as a backing to our Ladies words. We feel she won't dispute this. Now to be blunt, we could care less about any dragon soul or salvation of man less it gives us something in return. Where our cousin Nickola is more drab and poignant, he makes good measure to spell things out. What you may fail to understand, if you read this now, infuriated so. There are men, flesh and blood, They would insinuate us monsters, So we have every intent to prove them correct. 500 gold for both of Alverez's eyes. For no reason other then to hurt the thing of a man. - Moostrav Potrevski
Let me take this moment to be absolutely clear: Captain Alverez is an enemy of Travance. There are no orders from on high to allow him life, liberty, or limb. If you attack someone who is engaging an enemy of Travance, you, too, become an enemy of Travance. By all means, continue discussion and try to come to a consensus, but the moment you swing on another Travancian, there will be no rock big enough to hide under, even if it be a mountain. And to the unsigned respondent above: This is a good plan. The Captain may still be formidable without his crew, but removing any of his support is a sound tactic. In Service to Travance,
Lady Lois Heimdell of Albriar
Forget the Captain. Consider this an opportunity to land a decisive strike at the convictions of his crew. Swords rarely break those, after all, but take away that first "S" and you've got a much better tool to do so. *The letter is unsigned.*
I will not stop
I will not relent
Until this fetid cumberworld
Lies broken.
Your only recourse
To stop me
Is to kill me first.
Choose your side.
