Epilogue for July 2026

In the quiet of morning, Anguine glides through the outskirts of the Barony of Travance. Most creatures of this area had long since gone to rest. The hungry snake did what he could to right some of his failings- consuming some of the overpopulation of venomous creatures he allowed into existence, returning them to Arawyn. In a clearing as he traveled, he noticed another snake, shimmering in the soft light of morning. Half of his being that he had not recognized fully in a long time.

Ophidia uncoiled and serpentined to her other half. Neither would fully stop as they continued their way out of this area to return to the jungles. Their bodies moving in tandem as if they were still one body, heads keeping pace together as in their wake nature began to find its balance again. Anguine never took more than Ophidia Gave. Ophidia never restored more than Anguine took.

Nin’Ishda is the Primal Spirit of Cycle, and despite two bodies, they have been restored. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Three sisters carry baskets full of linens to a river deep within the jungles of Xithinthax. The sounds of the jungle are the same as they were centuries ago. The water felt similar, as did the wet textiles, as the women washed them gently. They spotted the rustling of the dense jungle near them, their heads turning in unison, locking onto the space, expecting trouble.

Sthiro worked through the flora, carrying a basket of fruit and offerings. A smile on his face as he moved to the edge of the river. The Triplets came over with the laundered cloth. They each took a damp blue cloth, spread it out, and with Sthiro worked together to bundle fruit in each. Placed back in the basket, the four of them would head to the large shrines to bury them, so that they may decay and return to the dirt.

Xydia and some druidesses worked together to alleviate any lasting injury done to the Sal’tuai within the embassy. While the Sal’tuai had rebuilt from destruction, there was relief that tending to each other was the extent of the damage to this place. Then, after the healing was done, they would all return home for some time. Xydia trusted Nyndraxe to evaluate the notes taken and truths learned, but it did mean that as a people, they would have to work together through revelations and wrongs. It would be work, and some would not want to accept what was to be spoken. However, no one needed to go through it alone, and Xydia held hope for the bright future when Anguine and Ophidia finally returned to the jungles to people with a better understanding. Nyndraxe had returned much sooner than the other two to review hand-taken notes. Separating the immediate and important from what else was learned for further inquiry. They knew that the two would find different things important, so Nyndraxe, as always, prepared three reports. They looked them over, fairly certain that they had recorded correctly. With some suggestions in the margins for how to deliver this information, they, for once, felt like there was little to prepare for in the way of conflict between the two avatars.

—---------------------------------------------------------------------

Within the Abyss, a figure stared with growing agitation at two small statues that sat on a table. The first burst into flame, then the second, both quickly leaving ashes on their workspace. The annoyance threatened the affectation presented by the Demon Lord as another imp, older than most things, waddled into the space.

“I have news, the servitors were un-”

Before the imp could finish their words, the imp screamed as their body turned to sand, falling into a pile at Vitriolix’s feet as Vitriolix took the power from the destroyed minion back into themselves. In the silence after the screaming, the sounds of pickaxes on rock could be heard, emanating from a scrying pool in front of the Abyssal- shaper. Dwarves mine in fervor for a mysterious mottled metal. One Dwarf manages to get the ore free, and as quickly as it falls to the ground, a fist fight breaks out over it. As the ore rolls away, its wake leaves a sickly hue before it begins to seed smaller ores of the mottled metal.

“They are close; perhaps it is time we strike a bargain with those who live underground”
